Patient Concerns

Patient Education

We feel patient education is very important. Our goal is that you are completely informed concerning your condition and any treatment that will be performed.  We use special modules to explain your particular procedure. We encourage you to discuss any questions you may have with us.

Patient Safety

We fully adhere to professional standards of cleanliness, sterilization and radiation control. Our staff is knowledgeable on the latest techniques.

Sterilization

We use barrier techniques such as disposable masks and gloves and replace them with every patient. Each piece of fixed operatory equipment is wiped-down with hospital-grade disinfectant solution prior to every clinical procedure. Sterile water delivery systems are utilized. We use autoclave sterilization for all instruments prior to dental examination and treatment. You can be assured that our staff have been specifically trained on sterilization procedures and their importance.

Pre-medication

Patients with certain medical conditions (e.g. valvular heart conditions and artificial joints) may be asked to pre-medicate with antibiotics prior to treatment. We do this with your safety in mind. Please inform us if you have a condition that might require pre-medication.

Post Treatment Instructions

After treatment, home care and medication instructions will be thoroughly explained. For your convenience, you will also be given printed instructions. Of course, we are always available for questions after treatment.

Patient Comfort

We go to extraordinary lengths to ensure our patients are as comfortable as possible during dental procedures. Supportive neck pillows and blankets are available for your comfort during your procedure.

Special Equipment

We continually integrate proven technologies into our practice. Below is an introduction to some of the advanced equipment we use:

Cone Beam Technology Plus Virtual Implant Planning

We offer cone beam technoloy on-site at our office. Cone beam technology allows for highly detailed three-dimensional views of the teeth and jaws to be obtained, offering unique benefits compared to other traditional two-dimensional dental x-rays. Plus, the sophisticated cone beam software program provides us the ability to virtually plan placement of dental implants.

These technologies allow us to more precisely understand your clinical situation while delivering the best care and consideration for your oral health.

Piezosurgical Osteotome

Pieziosurgery utilizes controlled three-dimensional ultrasonic vibration to precisely shape bone, but not soft tissues. This technique is ideal for delicate procedures, such as periodontal surgery, bone augmentation, sinus grafts and alveolar ridge augmentation. It allows for more precision, faster healing and less invasion.

Osstell ISQ

We use a diagnostic tool called, Osstell ISQ to correctly determine the stability of an implant when it is placed. This helps to ensure that the implant does not fail and determines when we can safely restore (place the crown) the implant.

Electronic Health Records System

Our office utilizes an electronic health records system which allows for secure and immediate accessibility to your records at either office location. It also aids in communication with your referring doctor.

Electric Generator on Premises

In the case of a power outage, our office is able to stay fully functional and sustain activity infinitely. This ensures that surgical procedures are not interrupted.  All surgical procedures can be completed.
